Meditation is a wonderful Inner Journey, a real pilgrimage which takes the pilgrim From stress to serenity From tension to tranquility From mind to the master From rituals to realization
Materialism and Ostentations of this ephemeral world have engulfed us so much that we have hardly any time to think of our own true nature or our Self or Spirituality. When the blows come or the dream is shattered at the slight calamity or disaster, we wonder whether we are living a true life. In the words of a celebrity “when you see death so closely in “Tsunami Floods” or “Gujarat Earthquake”, you realise what frivolous lives you lead.”
Mysteries of life are so complex and this universe is so vast that the intellect can’t explore the realms of unknown. Universe of ours, the universe of senses, the rational is bounded on both sides by illimitable, the unknown, the ever unknown. Reasoning or dead logic won’t be of any help. It is the inspiration, the light which comes from meditation which is an inner journey towards the “unknown making it more that unknown because it can never be known.” It is a subject of vibrations. It is not bookish at all.
Before shedding light on right listening, it would be proper to discuss the process of listening, which is done through ears. It will be a misconception to assume that only ears are required for hearing. Ears are only the external instruments for carrying the vibrations of sound inward to the centre-the nerve centre in the brain. If the nerve centre is affected or damaged power of hearing will be affected or damaged. The power of hearing will be affected even when the external instrument is in a good state and vibrations of sound are carried inwards.
Unveiling the ignorance is discriminating between that which is true and that which is untrue, between the eternal and the transitory. Everything is in a flux. The whole universe is a mass of change God alone is eternal; everything else is transitory. Everything dies. Saints die, sinners die. Kings die, beggars die. The angels die, men die, animals die, everything undergoes constant change. The mountains of today were the oceans of yesterday and will be oceans tomorrow. Everything in the universe is in a state of flux.
Gurudev Shri Swami Vishvas Ji proclaims in one of his Retreats, “This life hinges on dualities of joy and sorrow, success and failure, praise and blame, birth and death, sun and shade, high and low, rich and poor. The ebb and flow, the rising and falling is the world’s very nature; it would be as logical to hold otherwise as to say that we may have life without death.
It is definitely diabolical to see that man being divine and the master of mind considers himself nothing but a mere tool in the hands of mind. His life-boat is tossed to and fro with the strong winds of wavering mind. At time he is jubilant and is flying high in the skies and at other times, he is crest- fallen into the deep chasms of pessimism and darkness.
Just like a beautifully varnished and painted piece of furniture from outside but eaten by ants from inside, a common man suffers from innumerable worries despite all the prosperity of modern age. The so-called glamour and grandeur of present civilization has failed to make man stress-free and free from worries. It may be stated that some worries are necessary and some unnecessary but clear understanding of reason of worry will show that all worries are unnecessary.
The Divine Law is that there is but One Reality and that Reality is within You and that Reality is You. Feel this idea day and night until it goes into the blood and bon
